Dyno My Gtr! Is It Worth It!

I have a R32 GTR that is relatively stock, exhaust and ohlins coilovers is all it has. I want to keep the car stock for a 6-12 month period and was wondering if a dyno tune will help the car run and increase fuel economy, even if I want to keep it running stock boost. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Im guessing the car does not have an after market ECU?

if this is the case im pretty sure there is not alot that can be *tuned*.

i think they can check your air/fuel ratios and thats about it.

the stock ecu maps can't be changed without a remap.

anyone feel free to correct me if im wrong.

Hey Glaze,

You can retune a stock r32 computer - not r33 or r34 though.

Skylines run typically rich so a tune will most probably next some power gain and fuel economy.

Actually you can also retune a r33 stock ecu as long as its chipped. Mine has been remapped.

If I were to change batteries then wouldnt that mean my ecu would reset?

So does that mean my info on the chip would be all gone?

just for reference here is my dyno run rear wheel reading.

Stock GTR with slight rear dump leak, Hks death pods, 13 Psi

The Dyno man seem to think my Ecu had been modified as it held a very rich line all the way compared to what standard ECu's he had seen .

You dont have a GT-R but do you.

Get a dyno tune so you know the AFR's and shit are good, and how much power your puttin down.
