Yea thats right wrxkilla. The unit will help you tune out the corner exit oversteer under power.

The exit corner speed of our car coming onto the straight was apparantly one of the best at superlap on the weekend.

Curious, does this unit solve or help solve the issue of the early versions of ATTESA being a bit slow to engage.

I find sometimes I get on the power early in a lowish speed corner, when exiting I lose traction :(

Doing a few hill climbs and comming out in 2nd gear, I put the power down and the rears just spin up. Exit so slow T_T

In short YES

There are 5 available maps with Paul's controller.

Each map modifies the lat sensor signal. Map 1 has the same characteristics as the the original signal. The other maps produce earlier or later responses.

The gain on all 5 maps are tunable. One out of 2 maps can be selected by a toggle switch. There are so many tuning points

For the amount of power I try to put down around the circuit, my car normally goes sideway if I put my foot down to early around the corner. This usually costs time. I managed to distract Paul from his busy schedule of organising the Nissan Anual Track meet, secure a unit and hook it up before the track day. With so much things to do with the car before the track day I did not get a chance to test this unit at all. I had a quick flick through the manual and left it on Map 2 with a toggle on for Map 1. The track condition was dam on the day. There were water puddle, dirt and mud on the track at most places. My RE55 were also worn to the indicators. Despite all of that, I had even less sideway movement than before, was able to get on the gas earlier and was able to do a few 4wd power slide. I had very little test time with the unit and came first in the GTR class and also fastest Nissan of the day. I am confident that with a few more tweaks it will be awesome. As others said, this unit should be standard on the GTR ;)

Thanks for all your help and for producing an awesome product Paul.

I have another question (or suggestion) Paul :P

With the current firmware, can you set the toggle switch to the same Map with different gain levels eg Toggle on Map 1 of 10 and Toggle OFF with Map1 of 80?

guys, this is an absolute no-brainer.

if you have a gtr and you do any kind of serious driving with it, you need to buy one of these.

i bought one early in my gtr days, and it was in all sincerity a better performance upgrade than the $2000 suspension. the difference is noticeable immediately, and as soon as there is any driving condition where grip is compromised you can dial in exactly what you want the car to do.

and even better, its designed and built by a qld SAU member.

Thanks for all the great feedback on the unit. Its good to hear of successes of customers. Especially when they also attend my track days. Congrats on the double win 9krpm at the Nissan Meeting.

Also yes you can set both toggle switch settings to the same map with different gains. Just select the toggle position, select the map and gain, then put the toggle in the other position and do the same.

I can't wait until you have had a chance to do some serious testing as I'm sure your laptimes will improve even more !!

    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
    • We import a lot of cars from Japan. I'd say that approximately 20% of our traffic is imported JDM cars (mainly consumer cars like the Mazda Demio, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Suzuki Swift, etc.). We also import a lot from the UK, but this has decreased after Brexit. Apart from the consumer vehicles, two of the larger, well-known dealerships frequently import iconic '80s/'90s JDM cars. I haven't heard of anyone importing from Australia, and they are not advertised (unlike Japanese ones), despite a lot of Maltese migrating to Australia in the '50s and '60s.
