Would this fit a stagea?

It is from an r33 skyline... Does anyone know if they use the same clips? Being that my stagea is obviously an auto, would this pose problems, seeing as it lights up on the current cluster what gear im in?

Keen to know, before he sells it!

Its a nismo 320kmh speedo, 11,000rpm tacho w/ 8k orange and 9k redline.

Think itd go well with the nismo kit... Also comes with the 3 din guages, can remember what they are.

When I had my R33 manual, I used a auto cluster for a little while, but the speedo did not read correctly

I have a Nismo cluster like in your photo lying around, but the speedo apparently does not work, Has 29k on it aswell

I sold it to another forum member, but I had to give him a refund

They normally sell for aprrox $450-550 each

hmm definitely a nismo one? same as he's selling?

Mate if the speedo works, and the tacho etc, ill grab it, but to be honest id have no idea what its worth. yeah, i know its worth whatever anyone will pay for it, but hmm. Was the speedo not accurate? or did it just not work? I just think it would be a nice touch. confuse some people. I probably wouldnt part with more than 300 or so. about $1 per km/h on that speedo, provided it works and will fit! Same shape as teh stagea cluster?

Those bezels and inserts look cool, except for the fact that I would Have P R N D 3 2 1 down the middle of my dash, which would be useless to me, and look ghey for me, pity they dont make them for 260RS dashes :wave:

I noticed this ages ago, but never thought to mention it: mine doesn't have the Auto thing down the centre of the cluster!

I dunno if it was changed for one from a series 2 or what was done, but I don't have the PRND321 there...

manual stageas have the auto bit down the middle its just blacked out.

you could remove it (the cover thing) and just replace it with a bit of black plastic and also at the same time remove all the globes from the back.

Yeah, I think you're right Alex, but even then, the lettering would/should still appear the same way as the numbers on the tacho and speedo regardless of whether the dash is lit or not, so I guess Alan put a piece of plastic there or something.

Oh well, not that it really matters...

      Excuse me, but 2) does apply 1) Would also apply if you consider how much is spent in the alternatives. Also there's the option of 3), buy one pre-built that you can put your family in (it's me, it's my car)   That said, I went on a ~500km drive the other day. I didn't use anything more adventurous than 3rd/4th gear at about ~3000RPM and 50% throttle and I was going as fast as anyone has any sense doing on a public road, with enough grip to the point where I didn't want to go any faster. I was obviously under the limit of the current car etc etc. MX5 with 2.5 N/A to achieve the same speed would be more fun for any road scenario. Maybe consider cams. I wouldn't boost it. The use case is just not there and it won't actually make the car more enjoyable unless you really do plan on wringing gears from 1st to 3rd (at least) at 100% WOT on a public road to 150+kmh.

      Great if: 1. You had all of the money for everything else that is required  2. Lived in a country where you could actually do this and drive it legally on the road Sadly, neither applies to me As for the turbo, I am having second thoughts, mainly for engineering/registration legality reasons and insurance  Not saying I've finished doing stupid things that I probably should do to the MX5, but boost, and V8 engine swaps isn't on the cards Strange, but true

      Yes shipping here can be a pain, was about to purchase timing belt replacement kit, but it tends to get expensive due to shipping (and customs if importing from non-EU which the UK now falls under).
