Running Rich

Hey fellas, ive got an r32 gtst running a wolf 3d v4. My major problem is that its running incredibly rich and causes my whole rear end to be covered in a layer of black dust (lucky my car is black or else it'd look shocking ) Also, i only manage to get 300km's out of a full tank.

What would i need to do to fix this problem?

i say thats a case of piss poor tuning.. take it in for a tune to somewere decent.. if theres such thing with a wolf3d :

Get it tuned by someone who knows wolfs pretty well, ring around and see. You dont want someone whos tuned maybe 3 cars before and knows how to use it but not do a proper working tune.

How much did you pay for the tuning? Possibly they have only charged and performed mapping for WOT so it doesnt destroy itself.

Getting the cruising economy acceptable will require them take the car out on road (or dyno) and tune for light loads. Which will take more tuning hours and hence more money.

A lot of people are quick to blame the ecu and/or tuner for poor results when in some instances its simply the end user has not paid for it to be done.

Those on here that tune there own cars will attest that there is a lot of hours needed to get a acceptable result.

To answer your question, it has not been tuned correctly if at all for your cruise situations.

also, i no this may sound stupid, but how is your cat? i had the same problem, with piles of black crud and it turned out my cat had been punched out...

Its still running rich though, having a cat will just lessen the black soot that comes out and make it less obvious.
