Hey, Question for the r32 drivers out there :)

Been test driving a couple of r32's and noticed when i reach speeds of 60km/h+ i hear some kind of hissing/distortion sound on the right side of the steering wheel, near the air vents. The faster the speed becomes the louder and more irritating the sound is. It sounds like the hissing sound produced by poor quality speakers.

When i first heard this sound I came to the conclusion it was due to the poor job of the front bar which was causing air resistance.

Then i test drove a different r32 and heard the same sound...

Sound only comes from drivers side and no hissing is heard on the passenger side.

Radio was turned off in both cars as advised in test drives of cars.

Anyone know what this could be? Is this a common fault in r32's?

Thanks

- Patrick

The sound that you are hearing is the sound of air getting between the window and the door seal around the mirror. It can be found in many older cars. The drivers door mainly, as it is opened and closed more frequently.
