Rb26 Stagea Dyno Videos :)

Recommended Posts

OMFG that stagea is out of control, i think i just fell in love :D

You are a champion, congrats with putting together such a car, and sticking with it when i know there would have been many times were you would have loved to just give up and walk away.

Glad you are happy with the result, its always good when you put so much hard work into something and you can finally stand back and look at the end result and enjoy it as much as you can becuase you know you made this car what it is.

Congrats to you :(

Simon

thanks everyone for the comments its finally something sorted after sooo long on the drawing boards :)

the tune was done in rwd because im running the autronics ecu and i havent hooked the 4wd up as the last tuner stuffed the wiring and it was wrecking the tps signal to the ecu because they didnt have a clue what they were doing. so i removed the front tailshaft and have been thrashin it around in 2wd for the past few days. its even good in the wet, its like 2 cars in one, makes stuff all power upto 4200rpm or so and then bang its constant wheelspin upto 9000rpm :( the rpm range is huge and with a good power band from 4500rpm-9000rpm makes it awesome for pulling power. it manages 230kmh in 4th gear at 9k rpm (4.3 diff ratios).

i took it out last night in the wet and damn its soo fun ripping donuts on fullboost :D never had sooo much fun in years.

Stasis the mods list is pretty long but heres a run down on what its got at the moment. price for the build is alot ;) JUN gear aint cheap thats for sure. heres a page i made with all the details on the whole conversion i did and engine build, etc http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2400656

got a busy week or two doing a few changes to the setup now. the stock gtr cooler is going to retire and im getting an Apexi drag cooler 140mm thick :D and im chucking in 2x bosch 044 fuel pumps, twin fuel lines from front to back with a surge tank setup as well. exhuast is currently shocking and only running a 3" dump pipe and a 2.5' rear muffler which is chocking it big time. gonna goto a 4" dump pipe and a 3.5' rear muffler to replace the tiny 2.5' thing.

then the boost is going to a respectable 16-17psi for the time being and then ill drive it for a while and then back for a big big boost tune to see what it can really do :)

heres the last video i got, we turned the lights out to show the flames and glowing manifold after a big thrashing. the video doesnt show all the flames because the camera was too far round the side of the car but it shows a couple and then at the end the manifold after the 5 power runs or so as its glowing like mad :)

the sound at 9000rpm doesnt come up good on the video but ill be sure to take a proper video camera next dyno tune and record the sound in better qaulity as it seriously screams :P

cant wait to surprise some unsuspecting v8 drivers on the streets

i think thats about all at the moment :)

happy veiwing

Brad

Nice work brad love the exhaust flames, your hard works really paying off.

Two wheel drive is so much fun, tried to teach the misses how to smoke the wheels yesterday she nearly ran over the dog.

stagea - tailshaft =

Top stuff Brad,

Very, very impressive! After all that time, effort and investment I don't think my nerves could take the power runs on the dyno, but I guess that's what you built the beast for!!!

Fortune favours the brave, I want to see it down the 1/4 that will be the real deal.

Cheers

Luke

Thanks for the PM Brad, all I can is awsome. That is a fantastic number considering your exhaust set up and the very low boost level. It'll be an absolute animal on your final boost setting.

Have a ball with it mate, you deserve it.

Ken
