The Poll thread was removed as it was suppose to be a serious and u guys stuffed that up.

URMINE, SDU4EVA, HUSTLR let ppl have there say, in a serious unbiased way.

From the SDU forum it seems most ppl want to keep SDU as the name or they want join. We need the numbers to make this successful. Two or three people making decissions and then saying this is how its gonna work is why the NZ club went down hill.

I will put the poll up again if you will behave, this goes to everyone.

Think me a nazi if you want but trying to organise this thing takes time, and when ppl constantly muck around, it makes u wonder if its worth it.

skyzerr33... why dont u just delete the stupid reply's? instead of deleting the thread.. yes i agree we get out of hand sometimes.. i dont remmeber how far this one went.. cause i been in a meeting for the past hour..

im sure none of the offending party's really mind if posts are deleted.. ive even deleted a couple myself from other threads.. im not sure if u can put them back .. but we need to have this thread going again

and as far as the sdu thread/ posts go.. a couple of ppl have said they cant be bothered changing the stickers.. and its thats ppl's reason for wanting to stick with the sdu name i dont really think its good enough.. another mentioned buying power or something.. ?? sdu will not help us here either as they aint aus based and no one knows who they are..

im still yet to hear a good reason to stay with sdu name..

plainly it was easier to delete the whole thread, u guys got it down to about 23-24 posts 20 of which where the funnier sort.

as for the name your point is valid. tell the other aussies there and see what they say. i'm trying poorly to keep it democratic. i think its cause they know the forum the name and they idenify with it, so thats why they don't want to change. for those ppl we can still be our own club, whatever the name and have an affiliation with sdu.

just out of curiosity if we put the names SAU, NAS and SDU on a poll on both sites and SDU won when combined would u live with it or not join? As stated b4 for it to work its gota be a majority thing.

skyzerr.. dont worry mate its all democratic.. we wont hold it against u...

as for the name i dont really care.. id prefer not to be associated with sdu.. but a name is just that.. its the ppl i want to be associated wiht.. and as long as all u guys are here i dont realy give a hoot with what were called!.. and most of here i think feel the same...

the dwindling few on sdu.. are the ones who arnt on very often id say.. they most prob dont like change.. but we will grow very quickly here .. ull see.. and id say theyll all join..

Troy I really think Name is not therelevant issue really.

To me Name isnt important but having a club with all you guys in it matters to me. And I am willing to put in money to start a club.

Guys lets for once and all settle a name so we can move onto the next stage.

YOur choice will be your final choice. No going back!

well i think i will start a new name poll tomorrow with the three names on both sites let it run a week and go with the winner? all agreed with this.

in the mean time we can sort the charter/constitution out as that has to be handed in as part of registration of the incorperation/association.

i have two 3 at home will post later tonight, if anyone else has one they think may work please post a copy.

    • Just don't use ChatGPT or any other artificial stupidity for the equivalent of googling. Their demonstrated inability to discriminate reality from hallucination should be enough to make them totally untrusted. LLMs don't know anything and cannot think to even the smallest extent. They are just predictors of the next word, and that should never be confused with capability.
    • I think, given the usage model described in the OP, I'd never ever experience the wonders of the 400kW upgrade. What I really need is boost from 2000rpm and probably no more than 260-270rwkW. But I suspect that the highflow is not actually the turbo for that purpose, so I may in fact need to get a G25 or 30 or something right sized and very spooly. We shall see after it is tuned. I've had to back the boost and boost ramp off to stop the thing from pinging since the highflow went on, so I've been almost living the NA life for 9 months now! Injectors are recently in hand. AFM is in hand. Dyno is fixed. Just need to clear a queue of f**king Supras out of the way (and probably fit my new gearbox). So....some time this year? Lol.
    • For what I gather is a Sunday/summer car....braided is fine. You're not going to be left without a vehicle and you have plenty of time for inspection/maintenance. Oof. I wouldn't use them that way. They can probably handle the temperature** but the internal corrugations means that their flow characteristics are a bit shit. Lots of extra friction and pressure loss. Makes them flow like the next pipe size down. ** They are stainless, and the stainless can usually be at least something like 304L, which is pretty good at higher temperatures (unlike 316L, which I would use for a wrt/corrosive environment, but not a particularly hot environment). But the welding needs to be top notch. And even then, because you usually need at least one cone-seat end on them (because you can twist the hose and do up both ends at the same time unless one of them is a union) they can be prone to coming loose with heat cycles.
    • I don't have the OEM oil feed lines though and the turbo-wraparound line is torn, only has water. My plan is to get replacements for these and just connect a braided line to there. And make sure it's leak free. Hoses like these are also sometimes used to connect external wastegates, so for an EGR I think you're good using them.
    • Alright I understand. The most likely case is probably gonna be that I just keep the OEM unit in the car as long as it works.
