I don't get it? I got 275/40/17 on the back of my old gtst with only rolled lips on the guards. How much wider did you want?

what do "pumped guards" look like?

The only way to really flare the guards is to cut the existing lips off and weld something bigger in place, but I don't see how you could get that done and painted for $1k?

I think he wants 265's up the front too.

i got 265s on my front now and no problem... only time i ever hear scraping is when I do a full lock... could be because of the frontal mud guards

Did you notice a big difference with 265s up front?

I thought you said a few posts ago that you had 20s on with no problems~

no, the 20s were scraping at the front too but only on full lock and i had much smaller tyres which helped. the 20s with 265 on them would be a very bad idea. difference... no idea as I only ever used 255s and 265s at front (well except the 20s but that was just a trial and didnt do a real driving test... those rims are heavy as hell anyways so cant compare). I don't know if having fat tyres up front does any significant traction improvement. I just been putting wide ones as thats what my mate gets me.
