Quick Question Re: Pistons In 25/30 Rebuild

I have someone trying to tell me that for a 25/30 rebuild you need to get pistons custom made. Is that right? First time I have ever heard this. I thought you could just bore the cylinders out to 20 or 40thou and put some forgies in.

you dont need customs i can tell you that now. you just need a set of pistons for an RB30. Forgies or not depends on how "hard" your gonna run the engine.

i think arais make a set for the rb 25/30

they made specfic pistons for that hybrid motor.

have a look for them,

(i have no idea on quality of the arais pistons maybe good or bad)
