lol, cancelled if raining. Your too used to Qld life. If they cancelled track days when it rained they would run 3 days a year down south

In all seriousness. We will go ahead as usual if it is raining. The only time a day is cancelled is if the conditions are dangeous such as no visibility.

I love the opportunity to get out on a wet track - it happens so rarely up here. its great for refining al aspects of car control, and the experience will make you a smoother, better, and probably faster driver in the dry.

*shrug* well if it's raining, i guess i'm out, as a) i feel $120 is not too much to lose compared to possibly binning the car (and if the results of the southern trackdays are anything to go by, there's usually 2 or 3 cars that get binned each time it rains), or b) if i did get out there i would be pussyfooting it around so much that everyone would have a sook that i'm holding them up...

Still make sure you come out even if you don't intend to drive if its raining. We have been out there and its raining in the morning and dry by lunch time. The weather is different out there to Brisbane proper.

As SirSkyline said, the wet days can be very good. And Dave is right, tyres don't get munched as bad, engine temps are never a problem, brakes don't overheat.

The thing is you have to go out with a sensible attitude, and I'd say all our guys do that. That's what our track day is all about.

At the end of the day you, and you alone, have to be comfortable with the wet track, if you are unsure then don't go out. $120 is not much to lose. Its a personal choice. Don't feel pressured, as these guys are just joking around.
