Well this a very simple and easy, but it thought why not post up a DIY on it just in case you've never done it before.

Ok here's the wiper blades i use....

And yes they come in different colors......

Step 1

Remove the old blades by pushing these metal 'clips' and pull the old blades down and off.

Step 2

Now slide the new blades on....using the gooves in the new blades to run through all the clips of the wiper

Step 3

OK with the new blades on, you'll now have alot of over hanging blades....

Out come the pliers or old scissors (not the good scissors!!!!!! :) )

And cut away.....

Job Done 8)

Now off to the dyno for the re-tune.

(this was done on my WRX :) )

Also just a quick tip, for having a really clean outside window, use a little Meguiars clay bar on the windscreen, it cleans it up awesome!!

they come in either 6mm or 8mm. buy the correct one. the aunger ones are both 6 and 8mm, so they should fit anything.

Be careful using those plastic cut it yourself ones. they might slip off. if that happens, your window will get scratched.

Best stick with the metal insert ones.

I would suggest staying away from the wipers you get from Big W etc etc

Get the blades with the metal inserts, they are much quieter and wipe much more better.

I have wasted my time on crappy wipers which have annoyed the hell out of me. Spent $23 on genuine Nissan wipers and will never look back.

Quiet, smooth and wipes everything off in one swipe. hahah

As I said above, quieter and better wiping isn't the main problem. If the non metal one slips out, the arm will scratch the window.

I have this nasty scratch on my daily driver's windscreen. Mum must have driven with a broken blade for like 5 years or something.

BTW, You don' ahve to spend 23$ ffor genuine nissan ones. Nissan don't make wiper blades. Bosch - avaialble at supercheap auto make metal insert ones. Just get the right length ones.

  • 1 year later...

So, as the links don't work.

Please show me lead me to where to get some new blades.

I've got 3 10+ year old cars that have never had them changed. I can't see in the rain.

Let me know and recommend.

Also, will i just be able to buy the same ones and fit on all the cars?

Anybody help me lol. I don't care about stickers lol.

Most auto stores stock them. Super Cheap have the Aunger and Bosch refills, both of which i have tried and recommend.

Make sure you measure the longest wiper so that you get the right sized refills,

and choose the brand that comes with a free sticker............. :P
