So far the injury has been plagueing me for 3 years. It took 2 years for the first surgery to be allowed. I had 6 weeks recovery after the first surgery before starting some light gardening and the disc ruptured again. Significantly I didn't have the caurterizing in the first. The surgeon said I was fine and could start heavier activity. Good neurosurgeon but this time I have one of the best orthos around who does just backs and I trust his judgement.

This time definitely 6 weeks of light walking then a slow increase. Army will keep me in a bit longer until I'm fit to discharge. I was retiring 31 Aug.

Obviously no DECA, but I have the opportunity for a full life without disability so the trade is worth it. I may or may not make Meridians day. I'll see if Spence will take me.

Chris, feel free to drop by. I'm good for making a decent coffee. 0408 1254 767.

Shame about DECA Geoff, surely someone could drive you up to partake in the usual evening events though :(

Take it even easier now mate and look forward to seeing you back out and about in team purple. :(
