Help Me !

my steering pump was on is way so i took the skyline to the mechanic who changed it over bu it seems there is a massive air lock in the steering fluid line, when we put it in it will go down and as soon as u turn the wheel or start the car it comes out like a volcano! plz help!

you have to bleed the air out of the power steering system. I understand you can do this by removing the resevoir cap, and turning the steering wheel back and forth for 10 full cycles slowly (with the front wheels off the ground)... Then do it quickly back and forth about 10 times. Then slowly again. You should see air bubbling out through the fluid. There may be a better/easier way to do this, but I used this method until there was no more air coming out and it was sweet after that...

Make sure you keep the resevoir topped up as you're doing this so as not to suck more air back into the system..

yeah cheers will give i a go, we did do that 4 a little while but we didnt try long

hey guys i sourced the prob... my container 4 the fluid had a filter in the bottom that was blocked
