Is "Flat Shifting" as brutal as i think it is?

Do you not dip the clutch or not come off the gas? Or both!!

You push the clutch in whilst having your foot to the floor on the accellerator, without taking it off

How do you not hit the rev limiter then?

Say i dip the clutch to change gears at 8000RPM, in the time im changeing gears, my foot is still on the gas. So when i dip the clutch wont the car "free-rev" up to the limiter?

It can/may but you would be changing so fast that it has a negligable affect on performance.

So whats most likely to die when you flat shift? Gearbox syncros?

I dont think id be able to justify killing my car flat shifting to get that little bit better time
