mad082
rich and retard mode is a violent cut off. you could try resetting the ecu. also if you still have the stock boost solenoid, hook it back up and take your boost controller off and see if it still does it. Spook33
i removed the boost controller and now the car seems to be fine. hopefully it was just that as i was thinking maybe it was the clutch sliping. back to stock boost Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/127506-boost-gremlins/#findComment-2357425 Share on other sites
mad082
if it was the clutch slipping the revs would rise but the speed wouldn't change. more than likely it was something wrong with the boost controller. cry41t
The stock boost gauge doesnt go to 10 psi. Only 7 Anyway, try replacing your boost controller with a friends one that works fine in their car? It could be a number of things, from fuel flow (fuel pump, computer) to ignition (coil packs, spark plugs). Your mechanic should have noticed the problem and diagnosed it when he completed the service??? mad082
the stock boost gauge isn't in psi. its in mercury. 7 on it is about 15psi (bit less). Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/127506-boost-gremlins/#findComment-2357580 Share on other sites
