hey ive got a c210 and want to put a rb25det in it but was also thinkin about L28det just wanted to know which would be easiest and most importantly cheapest???

Easiest and cheapest - the L28 for sure. Though it could get expensive if you want to go turbo as the turbo equipment is rare in Oz. If you want it to make big HP the RB25DET may end up being cheaper... depends on what you really want - realistically.

Yep, what he said. Also the L28 is a direct bolt in, gearbox and everything. the Rb will require fabrication of engine mounts, gearbox Xmember and tailshaft as a bare minimum

how hard/expencive is it to get go fast bits for L series motors? been doing a bit of reading on some datsun forums

thats exactly wat i need but i can get a rb25det ready to drive for $3300 so i think i might go that i could get a rb26dett for $4500. is there any other motors that put out good power but not from the turbo scene??? i was thinkin rb30

you wont get much power with a nissan engine easily without going turbo

if you want a nice NA engine, stick with a L series

rb26 that cheap is probably f**ked

so u reackon the l28, wat about just modding my original motor the L24 (twin webbers, extractors, exhaust)????
