As I am not happy with my power output to Rear Wheels...

i would assume more loss thorugh the auto trans. but the advantage is you have a decent "all round" take off in an auto.

i saw a guy run consistant low 12s with an auto supra :(

definatly a power difference

Auto trans has more losses associated with the trans in its design, the torque converter slips continuosly (unless it locks up like newer cars in top gear) slip is probably around 6%, other losses as in the planetary gears i think are quite low compared to the converter where majority of power is lost. In a manual transmition car just the frictional forces loose some power, but it is sort of 'direct drive' as there is no slipping components (unless your clutch is worn out)

i havent heard any complaints for any auto gtst drivers, including myself.

my car is running 190ish kw on simple mods and its taken out sti's, supra's and the like.

i wouldnt get advice on the auto box from someone who hasnt driven one. i love my auto.

only problem is the auto wont take much more than 250ish kw.

there is a group buy going on for a valve body upgrade. i'd recommend one of those if you keep the auto.

yeah, cant say i have any problems with my auto. only problem i did have, was when my origional gearbox died from old age, but now it has an S2 98 gearbox in it. and goes as hard as any manual ive been up against. :)

What mods have you done to your car?

As mentioned above the OEM torque converter & pump aren't very effecient & is a major culprit for generating heat & absorbing power.

With that said when I had a full auto it still held its own when compared to a mates manual (& prob other manuals too) with almost identical mods & boost levels (except 3" split dump/front pipe & 3.5" cat v 3" single dump/front pipe & 3" cat). I managed 192rwkw vs his 187rwkw both tuned on the same dyno & tuner.

I got a FMIC, Gt30 core inside factory turbo housing ,3" zorst, factory ecu remap, running 14psi and only getting 170rwkw, just wondering if something is wrong!!!!!!!!!

something has to be wrong..

ive got a turbo back, fmic, pod, running 10-12psi on standard turbo tuned with an safc and i made 191rwkw.

it could be your timing. my timing was way out when i got the tune. it went from 165kw to 186kw after he adjusted my timing, then went from there.
