cheers

go see shaun at boostworx or brett at graham west (APE)

I'd consider whacking a turbo on your na motor and run low boost, the response would be great and bein an r34 i'm presuming the motor has reasonably low k's so should be in pretty good nick. As long as the person tuning knows there stuff that is!

A few guys are turbo'ing RB25DE's these days. Most of them though seem to be swaps for RB20 powered cars though - Cefiro/R32

At a minimum, I'd say you'd be up for a thicker head gasket to drop compression to a boost freindly level, turbo and turbo exhaust manifold (not sure if the RB25DET manifold bolts up, I think it does, considering everyone uses the RB25DE head for RB30DET buildups) and some bigger fuel injectors, plus intercooler and pipework.

There's a probably $4000 odd here

Add to that a programmable ECU, upgraded turbo brakes, LSD (if yours doesn't have one already)

There's another $3000 odd

Is yours Auto? If so I think some guys are running PowerFc's in there Auto R33's, there would be a thread going if its been done before somewhere.

If its Auto, then there is another $2000 to swap it to manual, or say at least $1000 getting the auto beefed up

Then there are the legal issues, ie Regency Inspection due to the turbo installation...........

So at a lazy guess, there is almost 10k worth of rooting about to do it properly.

You could probably sell your car and buy a turbo R34 for cheaper, and it comes with all the good gear to start with

But, if you want to head down this way, have a chat to Shaun at Boostworx and see what he reckons is the best way to go about it, I am sure he would be o some help

Hope this points you in the right direction,

Chris

I AGREE

for R32, 33, turbocharged N/A engine might not be a good idea, but for the price different of R34 GTT/GT(easy 10k+), i believe it's still something worth the hassle IF u willing

by using 2 hand stock GTT parts, u should able to bring the cost down to 5k or less
