TokyoTaxi
My metal cat still smells funny at times and that's like 8 months after fitment. I even put the old cat back on for a week and the smell went away. Then put the metal one back on since the smell doesn't bother me now I know what it is. And then go for a cat back of your choice. Remember 93db (or something like that) is the legal limit. siddr20
Its coz the exhaust is hot so its burning the outside coating, but it will stop smelling after a while. Think when you install your cat, the person sprays something over it. Some coating. So when your exhaust is hot it burns that and thats the smell you get.. Well thats what i think anywys lol.. Yeh thats right. also, the stuff alot of good exhaust shops put on gaskets will burn and smoke at first... Don't worry, will be gone after a couple of days.
