He knows nothing about ECUs but can get 600hp out of a 302 on pump, he wants a computer that he can install and tune. He is on a budget and had to sell the motec that was on it. Any suggestions?

We put our Xede processor on a VRX 380 and picked up 15-20rwkw throughout the entire rev range. Highway fuel consumption went from 10l/100km to 8.5L/100km.

Xede.com.au - its just an interceptor/piggyback system. Very user friendly and quick to tune. Its also very adaptable to lots of different task as you are able to change both axis variables and the varaible being changed you can also nest two 3d maps so the output of a function is derived from two tables. We use it on the EVO's, WRX, fords, porche's, lotus and whole bunch of other cars.

Are the Autronics easy to use and do they come with a base map?

I searched and found that they have units that are much like mine (LT12) but they also have an option for a motec like self tuning with added senors.

The problem is they have no prices on thier site.

I dont think Richard Aubert(autronic)would like to here them being compared to a microtec!The way an autroni is tuned, they come with a base map(you enter a whole lot of info like injector size, comp ratio,etc)They have autotune, but they really should be tuned on a dyno, as autotune doesnt do timing adjustment. They are very similar in programability and results to a motec M800. PS Larry Perkins cracked the shits when CAMS told him he had to pull the Autronic out of his V8 supercar and use a Motec

Thats because Larry Perkins knew how much better they were than the MOTEC. And yes totally agree Microtech*infinity is still not an autronic.

I think they are about $2100 with sensors and loom, if your mate has tuned other computers, then he will love an autronic
