What Is This Part?

Hey guys i have seen this part on many r33's but i cant seem to find this part in my engine bay.

what is it? im guessing the ABS module? but wtfens, was ABS an option?

my car is a 1996 r33 gt-st.

i have done some hard braking but have never locked up my brakes yet even with the pedal to the floor?

not sure if its a factory thing i thouhgt that only a certain year onwards had then

but is quite possibly be and option in s1's. and was in all series 2 not too sure but

but in saying that my abs looks different to yours ,but mine is 97 so there could be change

Well yeah mines a series 2 gt-st and it doesnt have it..... hhm... is it possible it has been moved?

hhm... really weird.

i have mine lock up a bit when braking really hard, but its only on rough roads. i have stiff suspension and when i hit a bump when braking hard that wheel will lock up.

also if you haven't had the brakes lock up even with the pedal a fair way down, it could be that the brakes pads aren't that good qaulity.

Yeah im going to invest in a really decent set after i get the 100k service done. gonna take it to a brake repair shop and see if i need new rotors etc. Wouldnt mind some DBA slotted rotors. hhm...

That's why it's called Anti-lock Brake System

uumm.... If you had taken the time to read my posts, you would see my car DOES NOT have the abs module, and yes i knew why it is called abs.
