I have been searching for turbo's for my R32 gtr without luck. The GT2860r are sold out. Can I use the Garrett 2560r turbo? will this be a direct bolt on?

Here are the specs

Turbo CHRA

Wh Dia Trim A/R

Ind Exd

46.5mm 60.0mm 60 0.60

Wh Dia Trim A/R Type

I have searched but there is no conclusive aswer as to whether these will fit.

According to the turbobygarrett site the GT2560R's are SR20 packaged turbos meaning the turbine and compressor covers won't suit an RB26 . Specifically the exhaust inlet at the turbo is wider and the dump pipe flange pattern is different ie SR20 type rather than RB26 . The compressor covers are 3 bolt outlet instead of 2 and the inlet suits SR rather than RB26 as well . Its doubtful SR20 type turbos would have the mounting eyes on the bottom of the comp covers for the water/oil plumbing gadgets .

I would not attempt to use non specific low mount turbos on an RB26 because all the fiddly bits blow the costs out . Space really is a premium on that side of a GTR head and even Nissan had to make compromises to get it all in .

Are you sure you have searched every avenue to find bolt on Garrett GT BB's ?

Cheers A .

    • For anyone that comes here looking for answers on what can go wrong with gts-4 to rb25detneo swap. The Gloria's awd sump is different and does not fit. The rb25neo from stagea are exactly the same sump bolt pattern and axel alignment. Castings numbers are different on Gloria's blocks and oilpans if they need to be identified.
    • I have information on this for anyone that comes looking again. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/18gsbFaYTU/ The rb25det neo from the stagea has the same sumo as rb26 and r32 gts4 (and other awd models). The sump that has caused so many problems during swaps are from the awd neo Gloria's. The casting numbers on the block and oil pans are different so this may help identify if you can't confirm where the motor came from
