What a mad few days!!!you were right,I was wrong....so Im selling the boat this week (Its in the Trader,tomorrow Thurs $20k) and I went and ordered this little beauty on Saturday from JSA down in VIC! thanks for all the good wishes,catch you at the QLD meets? I'm sure you won't miss me nearly forgot to say it's a tad over 15k

mmmmm.........probbaly going to get flamed for this. but i dont dissagree with what the OP is doing. i've lived in australia and the UK and yes, the car market is very different.

Cars in Australia are overpriced.

Skylines are overpriced. Reeeeealy overpriced. I think they're absolutly fantastic cars in original condition but here's the reality.

I won't take any car I own onto a beach. Salt, you see, does terrible things to metal. Australian cars also have drasticly different design requirements when compared to many countries.

Also, our car market is regulated (so prices are higher across the board) to protect the local hoon market.

Expensive for a reason, not just consumer blindness.
