Running Bigger/hiflow Turbo With Stock Ecu?

I agree with 90% of what you have said but this idea that 300kw will kill a Rb25 is silly. The cars arent on max boost all the time, and if the tune is good you wont have a problem, plenty of cars making this power now days without a hitch. who would of thought that a standard RB25 could handle over 150 passes on 100 shot of nitrous? there are a few cars getting around that are daily driven and have copped that abuse also.

The only things that will kill one is lack of maintenance, poor tune or overboosting without correct supporting mods eg ECU, fuel pump injectors. If you set yourself a power goal, you can then modify to suit. common knowledge that standard Turbo can make 200rwkw with FMIC, Exhaust, PFC & some type of boost controller.

But as the guys have said, first mod should always be your ECU.

You said people over there have trouble with stand alone

So D-jetro or not, AFM/MAF you'll have issues eitherw way going by what you said.

As for the t04z an other stuff you need... budget around $10,000 for the rebuild :)

Soon as you get into the 300rwkw barrier your gonna bust a motor sooner or later

He is talking about an RB26 in a GTR Stuart that he wants to race, not a Adrians car still running within the limits of sensibility.

@ 400rwkw its going to pop.

Track GTR (more than one now) @ 330rwkw eventually kills the motors.

Street is fine, racing is not

I tried changing the turbo on a stock ECU with a tuned SAFC. Made a little more power but the power curve was like a rollercoaster. Put the PFC and it worked wonders. ECU is definately the pick of the crop.
