Wheel Nuts

hi, i have volks tri-stars, they came with wheel nuts that are allen keys, not to be undone with a socket or if so i cant see how. i tried to buy the right size allen head, put it on a 400mm 1/2"drive bar and was unable to budge them, where they done with an air ratchet or something or am i doing it wrong? worried what to do if i ever have a flat. any help/ideas appreciated.

I bought my my TE37s with Rays durallium wheel nuts. The wheel nut kit came with 2 sockets. One that did 5 of the nuts and on that was shorter with tapered internals that did the lock nut up. Maybe you have the same but the previous owner lost or did not pass on the the right keys. See if u can find someone with the same wheels and borrow the specific allen key wrench you need.

If you are looking for the allen key to take them off, i would try somewhere like Speedy, but if you have the tool to get them off, but are having troubles loosening them, I would put a wheel brace on them and use a rubber mallet to shock them loose, else 9 times out of 10 you will snap a stud.

Sounds like "Tuner Nuts". Check out the web for the keys. Had a quick look and founds these guys - look for tuner nut key - hope it helps
