I have a Sept 1992 non turbo R32. It's a limited edition V Selection II, which is one that came with some upgraded options, alloy wheels, CD changer, GTR steering wheel and a factory bodykit in celebration of Nissan Group A race victories with the Skyline GTR. The car has no major mods to it except a set of shiny stainless steel extractors and an exhaust system. It's my daily driver so I just wanted something simple and reliable to get me around in and not attract any attention.

I've since removed the CD changer and had a sound system installed into it. Alpine 160w rms splits in the front, some 6.5" rear fill speakers, a Nakamichi precision 1000Wrms 12" sub and a rockford fosgate amp to suit. The last two are in a custom made box made to fit into the R32 boot and still be removable easily in case I needed the extra boot space for carrying luggage/boxes etc. The car has a Viper alarm fitted (with 2 remotes). Its blackwired and has a 3 point immobiliser. It was fitted by Autotrust down in Melbourne. The alarm and the audio gear will be included in the car, with the exception of the head unit.

The car was bought from Kansai in Japan at auction (got all the reciepts) with around 50,000km's on it back in 2002, with service history and logs to back it up. The odo now reads just over 112,000km. It has a standard 2.0L RB20DE engine which makes a 120kw at the engine.

I live on the Gold Coast, the previous owner lives in Melbourne and owned the car for about 3 years, the car has been up here since mid December 05.

As for how much I want for it, I'm not sure to be honest. The car's not a 15 year old import and as a result had to meet some strict scrutiny when it came into the country, so I feel it's a better quality car than the cheaper ones. Also the car's not that common as its no longer eligible for import under SEVS, and 15 year old GTS's are few and far between. It is a good option for P-Platers who still want a Skyline, but not be hassled by the authorities. Its also a great daily driver as it is quite friendly on the back pocket as far as fuel efficiency's concerned, I usually get 10km to the litre of premium.

That said, the car owes me over 13k as it sits, but I know I wont get that much for it. The paint job alone cost me $4,200.. I'm totally flexible as I've only recently thought of selling it, so the prices are just a rough guide to show you what its worth.

The reason I bought the car in the first place is that my partner and I are buying a house so I wanted something cheap to run, but I've since had a pay rise smile.gif and driven some mates cars and decided to upgrade to something with more power..

I've no set price as yet, but say around 11,000 (previously listed at 12k). But I'm negotiable, so feel free to make an offer.

Thanks,

Samanatha.

    • Yeah that's true, but idk. Only a 6 month lifespan seems a little short. Oh also, is there a preferred way to send images? Like any sites? I'm used to just being able to upload them lol
    • Hey, like MBS206 mentioned; I dropped off my short block and rotating assembly Monday. With a quick verification, he believes he can clear it up with just a hone and new rings but he will confirm once the rotating assembly is out. If I were you, I would either go stroker or just replace the block if it does need to be bored over to next size. Block is cheaper then forged pistons.
    • live in the UK, and London has introduced a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) that requires individuals to pay £13 if their car doesn’t meet the required emissions standards.   The standard specifies that NOx emissions must be less than 0.08 g/km (i.e., the vehicle must meet Euro 4 standards or better, which generally results in NOx levels of around 0.08 grams per kilometer).   I reached out to Nissan UK, and they advised me to contact Nissan Japan directly. Does anyone have contact details for Nissan Japan or any certifications of conformity that show the emission details or NOx levels for the RB25DET engine?   Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    • these guys recommended to me and supplied custom 4 inch mufflers, couldn't be happier. They will spec a muffler to your preferred level of sound and know RB's well.  https://spmufflers.com.au/
    • Yeah this used to happen to me every year and a quick call would at least raise the agreed value back up / reduce the premium, but usually both.    That said for the first time on the renewal this year our agreed values went up or stayed the same over the fleet and the premium came down so that was a nice surprise.
