Hi all,

well i'm back form my 7 week treck arround europe and now that i am back i want to finaly get my car.

I had a look at this one, i sydney, it's the wrong colour, but i can live with it i guess, it has bugga all kays on the clock and runs well and is great nick, with only the side skirts needing a respray because if a few small stone chips and scrathes.

The car is from Aussie car complance and i can get it for 14.5K wich seams resonable.

Here is the link it's the first 1.5 series in wine red on the page.

http://www.aussiecarcompliance.com.au/cars4sale.htm

Can somone offer some advice on whether they would purchase this car or what. Has anyone dealt with them before??????

ALSO if anyone has any cars for sale in the 15K range please let me know. I live in Tassie so i'm a bit limited to the amount of stuff i can get here.

Hey mate,

I've bought my last 2 skylines- both 33, off Joel at Aussie and I would recommend him 100%. Top bloke, both cars were exceptional and mechanically A1. I would however choose the colour you want right from the start theres nothing worse than not being happy with the colour and its a huge pain in the arse to change-just my 2c. Hope that seals the deal for you mate.

Cheers

Waiting for the loan application and shit, but seeing how my whife does not work yet till next week i need to wait to have 2 pay slips from here to get the loan approved.

Wait and see, might have to wait a bit longer. Thanks all.

Yeah the colour has grown on me i have seen some nice examples of that particular car.

From what i can see Joal is a great guy, nice to deal with so far.

Can somone post pics up of a marrone skyline with nice wheels ect.

series 1.5?

ppppffffffffff

its a series 1 with nice trim.. don't get sucked in.. they will try to get more cash for it

hehe i was like WTf as well when I heard about a series 1.5 a couple years back.

But it does exist. Different rear spoiler... most have ABS and mechanicaly its more Series 2 than Series 1 I think.

Yeah it's a Dec95 model, so i guess 1.5 series, no ABS though, either way it has many of the series 2 things in it when i had a look at it.

AND the good news is i am about to pay for it and wait shipping to Tasmania. YYEEEHHHHAAAAA.

so nissan officially advertised a series 1.5 skyline?

i was under the impression that it was an aftermarket classification to fill the gap and make late nmodel series 1 cars more appealing, when really they are just a late model series 1. the only official nissan releases were sries 1 and 2

if your from tassie there is a shithot place in melbourne called plunket road car sales in dandy

they have a decent range and all cars are in really good condition.

i think they have a website on carsales.com

they had a nice r34 coupe for $19,000 a short time ago =)~

yeah i know that is what it says, trust me no ABS, the 96 onwards had ABS. It's a typo, coppy and paste form other adds. The car will be here in one week and the go fast bits are already ordered.

YEHHHAA. The car comes with jap log books and you can see that the car has been babied so i'm happy.

    • I would hope so. I worry that it also might depend on whether the person working on the claim has had a good day or not. I could imagine that for example modified brakes would be an easy thing to point to for affecting the outcome of an accident. I don't know. I will keep paying my premium and hope for the best. But at the same time keep safe distances, drive defensively and avoid dickhead P-platers in lifted utes
    • I was just working on the assumption that a cammed V8 is significantly less polluty than a Japanese I6 turbo was at the way they tested it in an IM240. Perhaps I'm wrong! Perhaps cutting one of the readings I got in half is a tall order. I don't know too many people who actually got their cars emission tested with a RB to really compare the data.
    • I thought it was just if “the modification effected/caused the incident”
    • Ok, good to know. I have open loop I think, I forgot which ones which but I am running the o2 sensor, brand new and I got a new boost solenoid because my last one was faulty and overboosting by a lot, but it's still technically overboosting. Haven't really bothered to hunt it down as I don't send it hard regularly.
    • You should not be able to see much smoke behind you if the mixtures are good - for ~13-14 psi anyway. It's not like you need to be running hell rich for only that much boost/load. Your tune might be a tad too rich. The tuner might have done that because they like to run a lot of timing. It's impossible to know what's going on from here. It won't be the actuator. It won't be the MAP sensor. Regardless of if by "MAP sensor" you mean either the Neo ECU's boost sensor (which is literally only that, a boost sensor so that the ECU knows a) that it's achieving boost, and b) that it is not overboosting) or you mean the dash gauge's MAP sensor (because it can't have any effect at all), or you mean the boost controller's MAP sensor (because it is very unlikely that it is running in closed loop, and so it is effectively just used to know when the pressure goes positive and so you can see the boost on the display, for the most part).
