Air Flow Meter? Help

Hey guys

Just bought a damaged R32 gtst. just panels. The car idles fine for a minute or so. Then hunts up and down and nearly cuts out. It cant be reved without the revs dieing to low. Also blows white smoke (unburnt fuel) i unplug the airflow meter and nothing changes. Everything else seems fine.

im thinking airflow meter. has anyone had this problem before?

Also whilst on the subject. How easy is it to hook up a 300zx airflow meter and does it need tunning?

mine's a bit funny in that sense too. revs go up and down almost stalls, then stabilises... kinda like a rotating idle but unintentional

try playing with the idle screw thing

Also blows white smoke (unburnt fuel)

unburnt fuel would be liquid, not smoke

white smoke is more likely to be oil eg turbo seal

rich mixture is black smoke

and yes, the way the computer recognises the voltage values for the z32 AFM would have to be changed.

i think they can run off an SAFC for a cheap option
