Hmm i realy dont see why people are so scetical about cam gears. they do work. they do more for torque than power (kw) and like said before they can help for midrange or top end power. from what i have read a pretty good mod on RB20s as they have poor bottom end power. they are doing a group buy on cam gears at the moment and they are pretty cheap. worth a look.

Now once installed these cam gears (exhaust cam) will you need to do anything else? That is tuning? Any other adjustment??

What if you have stock ecu?? and no intentions of power fc anytime soon..

Or will you need to tune your car to make the most of it?

What other mods do you have frankxinyu?

siddr20 - best results are usually found at -3 -4 deg but can be different as every engine is different. You should get the car dyno tuned once the gear is installed they will need to experiment to find the best position.

To obey with the rules , the engines have stock cam gears , however , the timing marks don't all line up. They adjust the vavle timing by alternating teeth.

Nismo does it...

Has any one seen this before.

unless you work for nismo and know exactly what they have done, just don't bother.. simple

you want our advice?

we have all said not to use the stock cam gears with the belt skipped a tooth

if you want to adjust them, buy adjustable gears. end of story.

Ive never done it but would expect a gain from it when there is a bigger turbo on board.

trying to spool earlier and through the rev range,to a certain point where it will meet back up to its normal power path,is where you will probably find the gains.

Not so much top end as far as ive heard.

IMO go to the group buy thread for ADJ cam gears.:P

Who told you that?

Have you ever phsically seen an N1 stripped and timed up??
