Massive Problem, I Mean, Massive

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

I recently got into a bit of a bang with my R32 GTR , but the only thing damaged was the front bar... none of the internals got hurt

Now, driving the car to the panel beaters i had NO reponse, i couldnt hit 3k rpm without flooring it, the car was making the most awful noise like it was struggling massively... now, remember none of the internals were damaged at all, even the front mount was fine...

When u push it, it'll backfire, but it just keeps making this Pttt ptttt ptttt ptttt pttt noise and will never hit boost.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY CAR!???!?!?!!?!?!?

I was told it could be the crank angle sensor? and that they move slightly and it totally screws up ur car? Or the CAS connection?

HELP please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a crank angle sensor will not make you not get boost

recheck those things above....

the IC was moved accross.. something had to give to allow it to move ...

on inspection, the intercooler was fine, just pushed in a little and moved to one side, but nothing major? could i not be seeing something?

Broken IC would be my guess too.. like Craved said if it's moved across something would have to bend/loosen for it to move.

The engine will still rev past 3 if one of the pipes comes loose or there is a small hole. Check to make sure your AFM is connected properly and spray some aerostart around all the pipe connections while the engine is running just to be sure.

Also check your Catalytic converter to make sure it might not be blocked. Might just be a coincedence that it happened at the same time as the accident.

As for the CAS...why would it be the CAS when there was hardly even damage to the bumper?

cool... cheers man

as for the CAS, the panel beater didnt know what he was on about

it turned out to be a gash in the cooler.... i cbf getting it welded.... so i'm gonna chuck it out and get another FMIC

(btw the one i'm chucking out is a TRUST FMIC) :D

cheers again boys

Yeah id say it sounds like an AFM metre problem. My friend has a 32 GTR and his connection was loose and it wouldnt let him rev past about 3000rpm.

Chris

he just said that it was a gash in the intercooler. so it wasn't afm.

How bad is the damage on the trust FMIC your throwing out..?

Weldable?

obviously you don't think so since you were prepared to tig up damage..
