I have a slight problem out of all things ive got air trapped somewhere in the radiator lines and as far as i know i need to find the air release valve, but havent got the foggiest of where it is, ive looked got service manuals and still cant find the bloody thing,

Im assuming the rb25det does have one aswell, but if someone can help me out that would be great on the location via a picture of their own, as i seem to cant find one on mine.

Cheers adam

F@%k is there a possibility i dont have one, coz i can not find one on my car, where its meant to be on the plenum, its missing, well theres nothing attached to the scew hole, most likely removed when the previous owner installed IC piping all i know is there is a brass T-Piece assuming that this might be it that has replaced the ARV hmmm now how the bleep am i going to bleed the air from that?

Any Suggestions

remove the small water hose which runs into the throttle body (just pull it off slightly) and, withthe radiator full AND WITH THE CAP ON, squeeze the lower radiator hose. While holding the hose in the squeezed position...replace the throttle body hose, remove the radiator cap then let go of the lower hose.

Repeat if necessary.

Thanks Dan will try tommorow when i can see

Cheers

    • I spent the entire of the long weekend going through my garage and I'm now, after 3.5yrs in this house, able to fit a car in. The garage is quite long and the back half has a high enough ceiling for a 2 post lift but it's going to just take too much space and I don't think I'd be able to get around the car if it was in the air. So, in comes the quick lift. It looks perfect. High enough to do most things, I reckon even getting a gearbox out would be doable.  Does anybody here have one? They're fairly cheap (~$3k) considering...  https://www.dtmtrading.com.au/product/quick-lift-portable-vehicle-hoist-3500-kg-worksafe-approved/ I'm also a bit of a non risk taker so I'd probably still use stands when under!
    • Well now we all see it! I did the same. Then cut it out. Then melted half of it. Then discarded it entirely. So... you're in good company.
    • I just replaced the god awful, sagging, crunchy bonnet insulation. It's something nobody but I see but it's been at me for a while.
    • yeah the south island is stunning, the wifes family is from the west coast down there so we were down there for christmas.   a high 10 would be a stretch but hilarious if it happened. fourth gear is its party gear, i don't have traction to throw more at it at lower speeds. I've found passengers don't think its that fast, i think it's because it has a digital dash so they can't see the needle move so they have no sense of speed
    • You have (externally anyway) a lot of patience!  At the very least your patience has rewarded you financially even if you decided you were over it!! I only just read your first experience of seeing the car, that would have been amazing!  Well documented too! It must be exciting knowing there's only 10 months left until you can get it on a boat and on it's way!!!???
