Pretty sure you put the 'R' and the 'C' around the wrong way mate. If you meant to put ECR33 029557 this is your fast mate.

OK guys

Too much to ask by the sounds, my apologies.

Working through some wiring diagrams and it should be OK.

Regards

Would appreciate someone doing my v35 2004 sedan.

VIN 6U90000PV35450969. Need to know if it has viscous lsd or not?

Thanks in anticipation. Graeme

You guys should PM "chook". I cant fast v35's.

sorry guys

Can anyone tell me if KBNR32RXFS AA is a normal GTR or V-Spec?

Bought it 5 years ago as a normal GTR, but the chassis plate decoding page seems to indicate it would be a V-Spec. Not fussed either way, it has Brembo's on the front, standard Nissan callipers on the rear and a few other V-Spec pieces in it. It will always be my B-Spec (bitsa everything).

BNR32219986

Cheers :)

If you use the last 6 digits of your vin on the website i use to decode the r32 model codes it says your gtr was built between 07/1992 and 08/1992 so its not a vspec but when i type in your vin nothing comes up. I have to also put in your model code. which confirms it isnt a vspec. Strange because i havent had to do that before. :)

Here is your fast mate

Cool, thanks for that. I seem to recall that happening a few years ago when it was FAST'ed.

Wonder why it lacks the 7 on the end of the model code which would indicate its a normal GTR, as according to that code site a lacking number means its a V-Spec... *shrug*. It has all the V-Spec running gear and a few other 'mechanical oddities' every reputable GTR workshop I have taken it to has never seen before, so ill keep calling it my B-Spec :)

Im really hoping im wrong but because it has the brembo's, and all the v-spec running gear as you said, and seems to have a vspec model code but has the vin of a car that was made in 1992....it might be dodgey. Im really hoping its not for your sake but it sort of sounds like someone added vspec gear and tried to pass it off as a vspec with the model code.

Well it wasnt sold to me as a V-Spec, but as a normal GTR with Brembo's so im not fussed about that (e.g. I didnt buy it because it was advertised as a V-Spec). Have attached a pic of the VIN plate, it looks real and doesnt look like it has been changed.

I wouldnt be worried about it if you didnt pay the extra for bein a "vspec". As long as your happy it should be fine. Just seems strange to have had the gear put on and a vspec model code but not be a vspec.

    • For something like this, I'd skip just going for the cheapest, I'd find the place with the best experiences people have had, especially for restoration work. Like everything, there is upholsterers, and then there is upholsterers. Some really great upholsterers for automotive restos won't even appear to have an online presence.   My guide would be find some of the old school classic cars that have been fully restored and are immaculate, and ask the people who own them who did the work on their seats
    • Might be tricky matching the seat trim material  If your got the funds you "may" want to get the rear re-trimed as well to match the front
    • How much is it to re-uploster?  Well that's a "how longs a piece of string?" question !  And I answer thusly: "twice half its length! " . . . . . .  Seriously you'll have to chase multiple quotes for that one from different uphlostrerereres !  Ask around, in your area and on the forums, chase reviews and most of all see the finished product in person cause photoshop is a wonderful thing !
    • Hey everyone!!  I've noticed that whenever I do my oil changes, after putting 4L in, the oil level sits at the top mark in the dipstick. This is after letting the old oil drain for a very long time too! I've checked the oil level daily for the past few mornings. It happens every time and it's confusing because all the threads say that it should take about 4.7L (With some just adding the full 5L) My next thought is to figure out if the dipstick I have is correct so could someone please tell me the length of the RB25DET engine oil dipstick?  I've checked images of some of the genuine dipsticks, but none of them have the length in it. https://justjap.com/products/genuine-nissan-engine-oil-level-dipstick-fits-nissan-r34-skyline-c34-stagea-c35-laurel-y34-cedric-gloria-rb25de-t-neo?currency=AUD&srsltid=AfmBOortQXofgmiHVRKuIaiKuygL4k0Ewp68c3isGZk0vvKOJ7Yqf3iB However.... the engraving on the genuine ones say 05002 while mine says AA000. This makes me believe that maybe I have a wrong dipstick? I just want to confirm before I buy a new one. The car is a fresh import from Japan so I don't have details of the previous owner to ask him. Thanks in advance 🙏🏾
