Hey guys

after thrashing the sh*t out of my car for 3 days i have found an oil leak. the turbos on the car are new (2860's - 5) but the rear one seems to be leaking oil. when the car is on the hoist it looks like there is oil seeping from the seam of the turbo??? the nut at the bottom of the turbo starts to pool with oil under boost, but the nut only goes through the casing of the turbo......any ideas? it's been suggested that it's excessive blow-by that is leaking from the return line.....and was told that cam cover baffles will solve my dilemna. any suggestions as to the cause or how to cure this?

I think like 80% of oil leaks is from the return line, with a shitty gasket, or the bolts holding the return line on are loose. Sometimes the hose connecting to the pipe can have a crack in it where it sees the most radiating heat. It can even be the oil feed line, might not be sealing properly and be leaking and the oil is running down the back of the turbo.

They would have to be the most common problems without going into major problems, which arent as likely.

i had a similar problem when i put my turbo back on my R33 gtst, when i started it, oil pooled out from the turbo area, turned out my oil feed line wasnt bolted on properly.. check that they are tightened like r33_racer mentioned..
