hi all

i called UAS and got a quote for $250 to install a split dump/front pipe, high flow cat and intake pipe.....the pipe that connects to the front of the turbo and AFM

they said it would take 2 and a half hours to do everything

just thought the price was abit steep....was looking at $200 max

anyone know places that could do it abit cheaper......or am i better off getting it properly done for $250?

thanks

no comment. untill you actuallly work out how long it takes drivein-drive out. including fitting chinese shit that doesnt line up at all : its a pretty normal price.

this is you suplying the parts? loosing profet on not selling parts is also a reason :)

coilover installation including front bushes in my driveway.... easy as pie, saved alot of cash too!!!!!!!!!

Ill have a go at FMIC install :)

go for it mate. I just did my first FMIC install last weekend. I started at 8AM and finished up under lights at about 10PM. There was alot of swearing and hard work but it was worth it. Taught myself how to use an angle grinder and learnt alot more about my car. Such as..make sure you do up the silicon joiners nice and tight :) I'm writing up an clear and printer friendly process for it now for anyone else wanting to give it a shot.

Kennedy and Trust33:

ive done most things on my car myself and some friends came round to help out with my bodykit and FMIC

im supplying the parts....hopefully they will fit well....brought the parts of the BATMBL group buys and most people that have brought those parts are pretty happy with them

this is probaly not very helpful, but im getting a 3inch split dump pipe from turbo to cat done custom made for $350 all up made installed gaskets and is also going to put on my cat convertor

My bf said it was a really good price to and he does a great job as he did my bf;s mates 10sec rotor and his dads exhaust aswell(legend01)

the place is carline mufflers, mt druitt... Bruno

Cheers

That's what I said above. The stuff made by the bogans of this country is even worse quality again.

My dump/front was bought off a recommended seller of this forum. same issue. I had to spend 2 days geting the stuff modified etc.

Like the advertisement supporting aussie stuff should say - Shit Quality. Overpriced. Built by lazy bogans.

my rule these days with my car, everything excluding brakes, and internal engine work.

Buy the mod, attempt DIY over 2 weekends, if still nowhere.. put it back to how it was, and then get it done professionally.

This way, i dont break the most important things.(engine, or stuff up my breaks which i NEED to work)

i give it a shot, if i cant do it.. well then i sit at the shop and watch, normally they dont mind ;)

so then I can see where I was going wrong, or why it wouldnt work for me.. so 1) its a cheaper if i can successfully DIY, 2)I give it a shot anyway, 3) I learn more about my cars, so in future i save more money.

:rofl::P
