Your thread didnt dissapear, I moved it to a more relavent section. This thread should probably go in the general section as there would be a lot more people who would have this type of experiance in that section than this one, but I'll let it stay for now.

You just cant keep starting topics on a whim about trivial subjects though mike, that is why SAu has other sections

Slidewize Imports. i used them for my GTR gearbox and Series 2 taillights and they were awesome. they lost half of my tail lights at one point, found them and posted them overnight to me at their cost. they do good things

im after imfo and past experiences on yahoo auctions. do u use a broker and who etc.

nah, ya didnt use the word "stagea"

........... if only youd said you were going to use the yahoo auctions to bring in heaps of Stag gear........

:happy::laugh:

have a look at: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=74993

I have used these 2.

www.rinkya.com

Have bought over 50 items thru them. Fee's can be a bit hard to work out, but once you know it works well

or

www.fromjapan.co.jp

used them once to try them out. Had no problems, their fees are alot more simple and easier to work out

The advantage of using these companies is you get to bid your self. Bidding is live just like using ebay.

No need to pay a deposit like with slidewise and let/wait for them to put a bid on a day or 2 earlier. It is not the best way to bid to get things at the best price. One thing with Yahoo auctions, if you place a bid within 5 minutes to go, the auction gets extended another 5 min. stops people doing "sniper" bids with 10 sec to go.

The only disadvantage with these companies is you can only but items that can be shipped using EMS or sea freight size and weight limits. So this excludes things like body kits, engine etc

I have used them to buy my Volk GTC and R34 GTR wheels with good success using sea freight, about 7-8 week wait.

The fee costs using these Japanese companies or Slidewise work out to all be about the same.

I have used Slidewise to get my R34 GTR front bar from JP, so the item could come in a container. Disadvantage was the wait of 4 months and you have to pay duty and gst , even if the item is under $1000 due to the fact the whole container assignment is under one name, so they get hit with customs fees. Also with slidewise the items via container come to Melbourne. Then you have to pay to get shipped again to you. I paided $400 for a complete genuine front GTR bar in Jp but the final cost to me in Brisbane ended up at $1070!

It is not worth buying new items of yahoo, because once you add the all the extra fees/commissions they ended up alot more then using someone like Nengun etc.

Sorry for the long response.

Questions?
