My R33's Coolent Is Boiling

My R33's coolent starts to boil after a 20 minute drive. I noticed the temperature has been getting hotter than usual as well. I changed the oil and filter, flushed out the radiator in case of a blockage, and tested the thermostat, which was working fine. I susspect that my water pump my not be working properly, so that is going to be my next target to fix the problem. Any other ideas on what it might be?

Hmm...what level was your coolant at? Any leakages anywhere? is there any gaps/cracks on the waterpump?

I check my coolent level and it was fine. I checked for leaks and drove the car for a couple of weeks to watch for leaks, but it didn't lose any coolent. It was at the same level. No cracked hoses either. Gonna pull out the water pump soon and test it.

Try getting the radiator core cleaned of all the buildup inside it as it sounds like the coolant isnt flowing well through it an is just sitting and boiling

Does it get hot in traffic or while on the higheway? Clutch fans a common for failing, this will cause it to heat up when in traffic.

Is your carpet wet inside the cabin around the front passenger side? Does it smell like coolant inside the car?

Radiator core is probably blocked up/full of scale and crap.

If so, take it to a radiator specialist and get them to unblock it. Failing that, use it as an opportunity to upgrade to a nice thick alloy one
