Ive seen manifolds around for both types, is there any advantage over one or the other aside from the obvious space issue when using larger turbos?

Just wanted to clear this up. Personally I reckon a good lowmount manifold looks hot with all the extractors sticking out.

lowmounts keep cooler as they keep the turbos in the down low position where nissan put them to catch the wind draft that runs in the lower section of the engine bay, not only that, they are away from the wiring which gets melted and brake lines heating up.
