I was asking a simple question and once again people like you take it out of context. I was not having a go at you, just curious as to why someone would pay for all the expenses of having a high performance car and not use it in that manner.

If you wish to remain civil, I am using BP ultimate and since the car just got complied I have no idea which oil is in her. However, It was complied at a high performance shop and would expect something that is reasonable.

I did actually ask them but cant remember what it was. Apparently they use it for all their cars (they have a few gtr's, supras, 300zx etc)

I checked the oil and filter and both were defintley replaced.

What is the recommnded oil for lines and what sort of price is it?

Thanks

you could use Mobil One which i believe a fair bit of people on the forums use or you could use Redline..which is more expensive but good if u really DRIVE the car...track etc...thats how i would see it

but if u just drive round town like me, mobil one is fine..

And its people like you on the street that give us a bad name. Streets not the place for going fast, go down to wanneroo and thrash it all you like. Unless of course you just redline it till you hit the speed-limit... *chuckle* Just because it was done at a high performance shop, dont expect it to be decent, sometimes things are done on the cheap. Use a good oil like mobil 1 and change it and the filter every 5000km's if you plan on thrashing it all the time. And I use my car in the manner I bought it for, just not all the time... I dont *have* to change at 6000rpm+ everytime to get enjoyment out of my car.

cmon guys, take it to the whoretown thread,

sheesh, am i the only sane peaceful one left here.

okay someone pick on me now so i can put on the SMACK DOWN when i C u at the autosalon

Cmon anyways chill, there isnt always black and white in everything. We really live mostly in the gray areas from day to day and there are dodgy people and really honest people, but its best to just get the car and change everything anyways even though it is added expense IF YOU NEED REASSURANCE if you couldnt care less then drive her till she begs for an oil change. and then dont mention anything like havent changed oil for 20,000kms cos thazz asking for a smack in da head

ahh i love the after midnight logic

i think u got ur car complianced the same place as mine... anyway dont bother changing your oil and filter again, they oil they use is decent. i thrashed mine fairly hard every now and then, and just changed oil and oil filter at 5000km last week, oil still nice viscosity and only a little darker.

ps. be careful in the rain :D

Does anyone know what might cause this?

ALso how many ks do you guys get out of a full tank when driving at a medium to hard level?. Probab only been getting about 250-300 myself

yeh when i got mine in its stockish form it wasn't doing much more than 300 a tank on BP98 and now that it has over 320@the wheels i don't usually get more than 250 from a tank, but then again i like sitting near the red and enjoy thrashing the shit out of it- which is why i bought it and not a pulsar :D but i also agree with rob as its not really the responsible place to do it on the road but hey how can you resist

I use agip oil and it seems to work quite nicely for the abuse my line gets :(

have fun
