2 Boost Gauges?.... Shouldnt Only 1 Be Working?

Hey Ladz,

just a simple question...

when you buy and install an aftermarket Boost Gauge... where exactly should you hook it into and should your standard boost gauge stop working once it is installed?

i have just had a boost gauge installed but my little stock boost gauge under my tacho still works.....

should it?

or has the guy installed it into the wrong place or something?

depending on the car (assuming its a 33 if gauge under tacho)

32s run boost gauge off the map sensor on firewall

people t in the gauge in lots of different places.

i have 2 working boost gauges also

yeah both gauges will work. they're just running off the vaccum line from the manifold.

ok well if they are both reading wouldnt they be reading slightly less than what they should..... this is what im thining...

becuase you have 2 sources from teh vacuum line wont the reading be a little wrong because the pressure is being divided into the two different gauges?

why not just have one and remove the stock boost gauge and just block the tee that was using? wouldnt this give you a slightly more accurate reading if you only have one gauge feeding off the vacuum line?

well the stocker gauge is probably totally out anyway

and no, the reading will hardly be altered by a few extra cm's of hose and two gauges.

My stock boost guage works, my pillar mounted boost guage works and my boost controller also tells me my boost depending on mode
