my r34 is the first car i've owned that hasn't been a hatchback with a fold-down back seat :miner: I need to know how to run wire from the cabin into the boot and how to remove the parcel shelf i.e. how to replace the stock rear speakers.

cheers,

sean.

Remove the rear seat, that'll make things easier. It's pretty simple, there's two bolts below the seat slightly holding the seats in place. Once that's out, you can choose the route to run your cables.

Rear stocks are hard to replace for my 34. They put the metal bar for the baby seat bolts across the rear speaker mounts for compliancing. Smart guys hey?

ok thx....i see the bolts.

Yes, mine has the left and right baby bolts going straight down through the speaker grill as well and just touching the cones :miner: I dont intend to have a baby in this car, so i might see what i can do about removing those.

ob1,

did you used to live in brsiiy by chance?

hi chris,

yes, it's the same Ob1 from the Autospeed days :D I'm living back in brisso now after 3.5 years in sydney. Got a wife and house now, so pretty much settled down here for good.

I sold the swift you used to know me in for a GTIR, which i only just got rid of for my R34. Do you still have your old Suburu or that Sherpa

Revhead and i recognised each other on the first cruise i took the skyline on. I also ran into Jason (4AGZE corolla) at work a few months ago....small world when you're into cars.
