Tomei Short Shifter

Hi Guys,

These kits come with an aluminium ring that looks like a spacer designed to raise the nylon cup that holds the shifter, due to the extended lower section.

I've tried putting it under the nylon cup and it looks like it belongs there but the shifter appears unable to move laterally across the gate and doesn't feel right.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
