Is there any difference between teh turbo that is on the RB20 compared to the turbo on the RB25?

Is it identical?

is one bigger or better in anyway?

therb25 turbo is bogger the rb20 exhaust wheel is 42 mm the rb25 one is 48 mm the vg 30 one is 49 mm boost comes on earlier.

the rb20 turbo will make 160 rwkw the rb25 will make 180 rwkw and the vg30 turbo will make 190 rwkw.

Will a RB25 turbo bolt on to the standard RB20 housing?

will the bolts and so on line up?

Will there be any need for ECU changes?

when you say boost comes on earlier, which one are you talking about?

boost comes on earlier on the rb20 turbo and yes they bolt up.

its a good cheap mod to do but I would get a bigger intercooler if you can first

Im running stock turbo..

And have dyno proven at least 260rwhp.... had to cancel run because fuel pump was leaning out ...

Friend of mine (GTT 25) on these forums mad 240 hp @ only 11psi.

From my experience there a bit more in them than that.

Imacu8 I wont even go there with the different dyno figures.

some people set them high some set them low.

ethan r33 made 170 rwkw on an r33 with stock turbo hks cooler exhuast etc @ around 12 13 psi thats a believe able figure

Btw I'm not say ing your car didn't make that on that that dyno its just it would read different on another dyno.

they are 300-320 hp turbos not 400

I have Apexi, Custom dump, HKS exzorst, hi flow, apexi air intake, custom cooler and piping, few other bits and pieces running 13psi....

The dyno that Bark's (ethan_R33) car made 177rwkw on has also been used to dyno Freebaggin's GTS25t. Freebaggin's car made a tad over 200rwkw on the stock turbo (FMIC, exhaust, Microtech etc...) FB's Microtech was tweaked again (later on) due to pinging issues (i think?) This resulted in mid 190's. This is the same dyno my car has made its last few rwkw figures on.

Ethan_R33's car made 149rwkw before the S-AFC was tuned, & 177rwkw after it was tuned (the timing was advanced too).

A totally standard GTS25t makes ~128rwkw on the dyno in question (from the owners mouth).

Jim I thought your car was a sh1t hot stinker when you got it.

I could be wrong ,

a good up grade is ethier a t3/4, t4, gt25 series, hks 2835 hks 3040,td06,td07n apex ax 6 (I think its called) and a t88 and yes they do fit. and about a dozen moreIt all depends on what you want.

Indeed /me looks over the fence to eye off the other Sky's Which way is Ashbury from Ashfield ? I'm originally from the coast and only moved recently so my knowledge of Sydney suburbs isn't that great yet ....
