Hiccup At 200km/h, 5000+rpm?

Recommended Posts

hi there,

i have a R32 (rb20det), at about 200km/h (5000rpm in 5th, or so) the engine had a hiccup, almost like it misfired or something, so i immediately let off and it was fine. now im wondering what caused it? was it a limiter, or fuel cutoff?

Also if the AFM is being maxed out for any reason it will cut ignition around that mark also. Feels the same except you must back off the throttle before it will let you accelerate again, whereas with the speed cut it just won't let you go past 180. I would get it tested for voltage maxing out (5.1V).

Yep. When the AFM maxes out and your at WOT.. it feels like an intercooler pipe or something has popped off.. you just lose power instantly until you take your foot right off the throttle.

You normally get this if you cut the speed cut wire.. I never did find a way on my old GTS-T to get over the AFM cut at 205kmh or what ever it was
