ok guys ive been searching and people know where the vacumn hose goes but i have no idea which hose to tap into with out a picture. does anyone have one please! ive installed the new hybrid kit just need to connect the vacumn hose that comes with it. there are too many hoses to choose from and i have no idea what any of them are for. does someone have a picture that clearly shows what hose i need to tee into.

thanks.

I got the same kit nowhere to put the hose.....

I had a tee between the plenum and blow off valve for a awhile seemed to work ok.....

but changed it in the end by getting a nipple put into the piping.... got this pick not all that long ago from someone elso on the forums....

perhaps aluminium? How is that a stuff around?

it is pretty thin alloy, so if they don't do i t right they could end up making a mess of the piping. also it is best to have it before the intercooler, so i takes into account any restriction caused by the cooler, and doesn't spike in cold weather.

also then you can use the old nipple off the stock piping and weld it into the stock hot pipe (you can't weld steel to aluminium). but you also have to be careful welding it in as if the welder is too hot it well make a mess of that piping too.

no problem with my welding skills, but seen some other people make a hell of a mess of things. i just silver soldered (oxy welded) mine in. its extremely strong.

probably should warn people to take the cooler pipe off before welding/drilling/taping the cooler pipe. you don't want metal filings going into the motor. you never know, someone might do it.

yes so when tapping a hole, and you dont want to get filings/swarf in the pipe or wherever, you put heaps of grease on the tap and go slow and it catches it all and no problemo. Well thats my trick...dont go telling anyone.
