Keep it the way it is...

Just no more "region" stickies.

That's what I think anyway.

I mean the "Campbelltown Thread" could easily be called "Whoretown v2 for whoretown rejects"... I'm j/k'ing!!!!

But seriously, the way it is good I think.

Might be a idea to have area/region subsection for workshops and places to get stuff fixed.

Eg:

Northern Beaches:

* Exhaust & Mufflers - Brookvale Mufflers <insert address>

* Guages etc - Autobarn Warriewood

* Haltech Tuning - Tweakit Monavale

etc

( note - no affiliations with the above)

i dunno, im tossed up either way, sure its an awesome way to keep in touch, contact other members in your area (Eastern subs being the latest), but id hate it to become anymore than a means of easy communication,

ie biased for areas, competition, even if they are jokes, my es skyline is better than your ws shitbox.....

Id say do it though because the benefits will outweigh the negatives....

I like it dirty but make her clean for once

Maybe up the top where it says events under neath have a area that says local........... then just let threads liek central coast, hornsby, northen beaches, ect have there thread each moved there and leave the normall NSW section the same. That way ppl can talk and organise there local cruise in there (one) alacated thread, and tell jokes, whore, and still comunticate in other ways in the NSW section. Keeping it one thread to group in another section opposed to numerous woudl make sure us smaller groups don't distant our selfs from the club. Just my 2cents...

I think the amount of sticky threads are getting out of hand. It seems logical to group the areas together in a sub forum in NSW to me.

I agree - makes sense to group them together in their own sub forum instead of having half a page of stickies of which only one or two threads at most would be relevant for most people...

Not overly fussed though ;)

i just don't get why it's sticky in the first place... if you come from any of these areas and want to keep up-to-date, simply find it and post in it...

we all know that as soon as any thread goes off the first page, it's forgotten... so just keep posting in it to keep it there... lazy &$^&$&$%$%@$!!!

why do people need seperate sections.

not trying to be a nazi, but if you want to talk to your mates all day, use msn, or some instant message thing. I think the forums should be kept as a common place for all, not a common place for everyone to be segregated into sub forums related to where you live.

my opinion, sack the current stickied threads, and dont make any new sub forums. Its supposed to be a place for ALL skyline lovers to join to discuss things.

Oh I realized my opinion has not been added here:

REMOVE ALL THOSE STICKIED SUBURB THREADS!!! THEY ARE COMPLETELY USELESS AND JUST TAKE UP MORE AND MORE SPACE!!!

:) they are pointless and divide SAU... they are all like mini whore threads.

*punches wil in the stomach*

Make a sub forum where we have our own lil area threads..

Its just a way for us to keep in touch.. and if we want to have our little area meet ups..

I dont know how this got so out of hand! I agree there are too many sticky's at the moment so i would just move them..

Well said

Agreed 100%

Yes, the Sydney local ones are point less, have a read through them for proof.

Well, i do think that there's benefit in everyone getting to know each other - but i still dont think having 10 stickies is the way to do it

Queensland has followed our "lead" and started their own local sections (which is warranted as QLD is FAR greater than NSW). But the mods may take them away if they become inactive.

I can understand what people are saying about the localities, but come on, some of the areas were like 15mins drive from each other. With two exceptions being the South Coast Thread and the Central Coast Thread which i think should stay as the normal whorethread etc doesnt really work for them aswel as the Sydney based SAU'ers :)

What a pack of whingers! Dont you have anything better to do than bitch about threads that dont concern you? I find the ctown thread very usefull so i can talk to other local members. Not everyone uses msn, not everyone can use other things during working hours.

The whorethread is ridiculous and impossible to keep up with unless you have no life but so what thats there for people to enjoy and do what they want. You go into it, expect whats there. We have a few area based threads which are constructive and allow local members to easily coordinate with each other and we are ridiculed for doing so. How antisocial is that! Contemplating this sort of censorship is a complete contradiction of what SAU is in my opinion.

    • I believe Unimog is the only vehicle that has it (from the manufacturer). I haven't seen aftermarket permanently connected kits, but I haven't looked either.
    • Ha ha ha, can't overthink when exhausted... Oh how I wish I had that power! I can be absolutely dead set shot, and my brain will still go "we need a good 3 or 4 hours to just think about everything and anything before you may sleep... My biggest thing is making sure I give myself enough sleep. I don't operate on even 7 hours of sleep! I attempt to give my body 9.5hours sleep a night to be able to function. I don't sleep the whole 9.5, but I need to make sure I offer a big window. I also take a single supplement, which is to help with long term health, and fighting inflammation, and I notice it helps massively. Especially me sleeping, and just less "achey" in the body. Have also kicked sugar, and gluten. A majority of people with ADHD don't go well with gluten. It causes a really interesting natural opioid overdose in the brain, which causes bodily issues and sensory issues.
    • Yeah that's what I meant, permanently connected not manual
    • Yep. But typically that's just run a hose down to the tyre while stationary.   Oh and the Unimog will automatically air up and air down tyres from the onboard computer for you too.
    • There was a good video somewhere, maybe Kurzgesagt that linked physical activity to ADHD/Anxiety/Insomnia etc. Basically the body WILL spend energy doing something if you don't spend it doing anything physical. It isn't fun, but I personally have noticed I've never been overthinky, or unable to sleep if I'm physically exhausted from doing a lot. The musings around it seem to indicate that this is one of the reasons/mechanism that physical activity improves mental health/wellbeing etc, by more or less not using that 'extra' energy to overthink, be anxious, inflammation, etc. There's also the fact that every obnoxious exerciser ever says it's great and helps which is extremely annoying. Like people who say the same thing about travel being the best thing ever. I mean, they clearly are, but blah. I started doing a LITTLE myself (think 3x15min per week) and honestly did notice the benefits, aiming at life quality when older. Which is sooner than you think. Getting something into your routine that you can actually make a routine has helped me at least. This post brought to you by procrastination between sets.
