can't go more than 2" more than standard.

ie, R33, no more than 18"'s (16 standard)

R34, no more than 19"s (17 standard)

for fords for example, an AU falcon can go to 19's, because the XR models came out with 17's as the largest factory option.....

so in theory it should be the same for a skyline.

ie R34 can go to 20's, because the GTR has 18's.

they go by the largest factory rim/tyre combo....

but there's more rules to it than that...rolling diameter cant change by more than 15mm i think it is...stuff like that

haha wtf.

Pivot wasnt included but it had the sticky stuff which needs to be cleaned.

Accident repair history? Im guessing it was the back. As my boot lid is missing stickers on both sides and probably had a respray. If it was serious racepace would have picked it up right? haha

Dropped by at the meeting today for a short time. Showed Paulr33 the car, seemed to be all good.

How'd you manage to find that link?

i remembered seeing that nismo sticker on your bonnet somewhere so i had a look around...

makes you wish you had just bought it from prestige for the cheaper price eh :)

Power outage due to wind lost my reply -.-

So Ill make this reply short :)

Prestige listed for $11k, i bought it for $13k, which allowed me to test drive and take to pre-inspection workshop before buying. A major service was included along with rwc and any problems found from inspection. Also being able to drive the car after paying, instead of waiting months for importing. I guess that could be worth the extra $2k? haha

Vicroads bumped me back due to the CIN listed 16's when my car had 17's on. The guy was an asshole and just wanted to make my day worse.

Seller swapped and removed wheels/spoiler free of charge and put it all back on.

Have some weird sunshade applied to the rear window. Its like a tint but its mesh to block out the sun from ruining the interior im assuming. Well turns out nothing can stick on the mesh...My brake light fell off and so did my p-plate with blutac and suction cup.

Will try and go back to seller to remove shade and re-apply the brake light.

Spent about 15mins in carpark trying to turn off alarm as i didnt know which buttons on the keypad. I think the keypad battery is flat and hence no buttons were being recognised haha.

That ecu reset seems like a good idea but first i need to work out how to disable this alarm :P

Also like the induction sound from the apexi pod. nice and loud hehe.

Anyone happen to have a stock black r32 gtst wing lying around?

Might leave the gt spoiler brackets on and fix the other holes by mounting the stock spoiler back on! and if im bored attach both spoilers on for maximum downforce! hehe.

Everyone seems to go spoiler-less or GTR wing so there must be plenty of them around. Hopefully someone could donate or offer one for a low price

Thanks

In my 32 4door there are two buttons next to the hand brake.

The first one (The fan button) i rekon would control the factory air purifier on the rear shelf. Mine didn't work any more so i ripped it out.

The second one makes an antenna with a little orange light on it pop out of my front bar. Either so i can see where my car finishes and the kerb begins. Or so i can laugh at people do a double take when they see it go up and down.

You gotta love the optional extras

I picked up my 4door in great stock condition for $10500 with lots of rego left.

If you want my advice buy your car through a private sale, know what your doing, use a good real mechanic to check everything, and do a COMPERSSION check.

Ahh i just noticed that, look at my rear window cause i was peeling off that sunshade mesh applied to the window. Saw an imprint in the carpet of some sort of box which sat between the two rear speakers. Was wondering what was there. My rear window is covered with small specs of glue from the mesh which a peeled off. Only way ive managed to remove some is scratch with nails as a regular cloth doesnt do much. Anyone have a quick method to remove all this gunk off the window?

Thanks

Might try eucalyptus oil as i dont want whole car smelling like petrol from the inside.

Does the r32 gtr spoiler fit into the same holes as the stock r32 gtst wing?

Reading around, to fix holes it will cost $300, rather put a gtst/gtr spoiler instead :(

Also how much would it cost to respray spoiler to black?

Thanks

Where are all you guys getting all this info from?? The Vicroads Modification guide has no maximum wheel diameter rules in it at all. I still stick by my comment of being allowed rims with any diameter, as long as the wheel and tyre diameter doesnt change by more than 15%...

    • Yeah, my moulds and seals are 32 years old now. I think I will continue to not use a pressure washer on it.
    • I hear the old "I'd never use a pressure washer on my motorbike" BS in the dirtbike community too.  The only people that have had a problem from using a pressure washer on anything are the people that aren't using them properly.  If you hold the wand any more than 45 cms away from pretty much anything (radiators, wiring connectors, paint, etc) you aren't going to cause any damage.  We've had detailers wreck moulds and seals on cars at work before and the only reason why is they held the pressure washer too close and on the one spot for too long.  If you have 5% more brain power than a detailer then you know not to not do that and you'll never have a problem.
    • I'm pretty much healed up post surgery so I spent another almost full day out in the shed re-arranging everything to make room for all of the shit that I've taken off the car.  I need to get everything off the floor and away from the car for when I start making a massive mess stripping off the remaining body deadener and then for the the painting process.  Almost got the shed to a point now where I feel I can actually start working on the car again (clean shed clean mind or something!).  Almost 11 years of accumulated car parts, building supplies, tools, junk, etc have taken a long time to get in some sort of order again!  Most stuff is now boxed up and in the back shed if it's not car related.  Most people would still be horrified walking into my shed but it's significantly better than it was before!   For those that saw my separate post the other day, yeah I ordered one.... This version- I convinced myself to stop being a clown, wake up to yourself and realise it will take you 5 weeks to make one by which stage you're over working on the car again...  Maybe I am getting on top of my "mental ailments" and making smarter choices.... $1450 delivered which will take my miserable half-dutch arse a few days to get over having spent that much!  If I don't have a use for it straight away after my car is off it I might even see if there is a "rental market" for them.  See if anyone wants to hire it for a period of time.  $25 a week or something like that.  I'll worry about that when my car is actually ready to come off it though as that might be a while away!! There's now no excuses now for not ending up with an underside you could eat off! Away for kids sport the next few weekends so hopefully can get the rotisserie assembled ready to go for the car to go straight on it the next available weekend.
    • I always use my Karcher, but it's only a little one that I picked up from Supercheap  The only issue I ever had with a pressure washer was when I was a kid cleaning coaches, they had a hi-po industrial sized petrol jobbie that would strip paint if you got to close I saying this, we have a fairly high power washer at work with a diesel powered heater that sprays water at about 60°c, it works great for removing old wax and road grime on the underbody after some foam cannon action, albeit from a "stand off" distance of a few feet
    • Sorry no - The sandtrap adventure ended the day, happened at the end of the last session. At that time I wasn't hearing any weird noises nor were the brakes shuddering anymore. It was only when watching the videos that I remembered I had these sounds early on!
