mine flutters like nothin, flutters under 3500rpm but thats cos i have a sr20det and it's comin out of my pod filter-

Thats weird coz everyone I've talked to says it will cause the car backfire.

It will because it dumps fuel into the system if it doesnt backfire now wait til the cat dies then you will get it.

The Ecu is programmed so when the stock bov goes off it dumps fuel into the system to compensate for the extra air.

take the air away and all you have got is very very ritch fuel mix and bang out comes the flames mine does it all the time
