Chipped Turbo Wheel

just want to know whether a chipped turbo comp wheel is going to cause a major issue??

the chip is on 1 fin and is about 2mm x 1mm

im thinking it may cause an inbalance.

with it spinning above 80,000rpm, it will destroy itself quickly. Don't use it so that you may salvage it, and not blow your motor.

(Motors don't like it when bits of turbo go through them)

My turbo had a small chip it ...got it rebalanced and it is all good...makes ans odd whistly noise now but :

Yerp. Small section missing will cause a massive centrifugal loading on the shaft and bearings at high revs. A few grams static would be in the order of 10's of kilograms at well over 80K rpm.

very bad. it will spin out of whack. it will eat itself out on the housing. and your motor will eat the turbo parts.

i think ive got a similar problem, but i think my exhaust wheel as partly or fully come off. It "doses" still, but very faintly.

yesterday i was driving at 100km, and approx every 15mins, a puff of blu ish looking smoke was comn outta the exhaust?

could this be because oil is going through the turbo into the exhaust? i am not sure about this thing, any info on this would be helpful.

duck tape and zip ties, you can fix anything well atleast it's what keeps the army going
