I need to change insurance companies but noone likes to hear about my driving history. I guess its my fault cos Im no angel. And Just Cars suck for 3 reasons;

-Excesses are excessive ($3k for me which is bordering ridiculous)

-The agreed amount of insurance is ~ redbook (they dont seem to understand that mods are expensive stuff eg rims)

-No monthly or bi monthly installments (just great with the insurance premiums suck to begin with).

Ah well, I haven't had trouble with them for the past 4 years though. Anyone should I bother calling you guys reckon?

People just to let u know about H2P insurance (in conjunction with RAA). They are cheaper then Just cars etc and many others. Im currently P plator n drive Series 2 R33 NA GTS4. Compre insurance = 1g. I contacted them 2day advising them im modifying my engine via adding a turbo kit. Asumming my preimum will go up in the hundreds... suprisling it was $0.00 (any mods under $4,000g doesnt affect). They were nice people n knew about skyline etc... lol. Give them a Try.

um i just rang them and well they said you adding a turbo WILL increase your excess and premiums

and they wernt cheaper than just cars for me

2 strikes your out

on a side note rang famouse and am happy with there quote of $702 with agreed value of $20,700 and excess of $1000

my agreed value with just cars is $16,500 :woot::rolleyes:

i used to be with just cars. the premiums are bad enough.. but the excesses are a joke.

Changed to Shannons; was 50% less premium with a $500 flat excess, monthly payments and choice of repairer.

WIN!

You might wanna give _8OO5TED_ a PM. He works for Shannons (or did when I changed over).

err actually he's changed positions just recently.

Bare in mind though, if you're under 25 most insurance agencies will give you a hard time, especially if you have minimal insurance history. Also, the cheapest premium might not necessarily be the best one to go with when it comes time to make a claim.

my 2c :D

naw not under 25 not even under 30 anymore

shannons wont insure my vechile they claim im in a high risk suburb

he was also asking if i went to car shows drags drifts and stuff, i asked him why he wanted to know he claim to make a connection as to why i bought a import skyline (im thinking risky behavour)

just cars for me was 800/ year 1500 excess and only 16,500 agreed value (which i didnt agree too)

    • I vote go red. Only because I hate keeping gloss black clean. Was no worries helping out either! Glad you've survived the rain outs of QLD
    • I would again like too thank Matt for his help in me sourcing the detachable hard top for the little red car, without Matt's assistance in inspecting it and locking it down, I can guarantee it would have sold before I could get up to see it,  and as that was the only available NC hardtop in Australia, I consider myself extremely lucky on multiple levels To say I'm more that happy would be an understatement And, it is 100% water tight, I drove through torrential rain coming back south, and by torrential, they type of rain that doing 40kph in a 110kph zone was a real thing, and even then, the standing water on the Hwy was deep enough to throw waves I'm also more than happy that the huge "BEASTS" that Matt calls dogs didn't eat me for lunch, I'm sure the sniffs and licks were more to "taste test" me, over being to friendly Now to work out what colour to get it painted, panel match, or gloss black........first world problems are real
    • Actually I might have figured out. Looks like there is a tab according to google images but it's hidden. Silly me.
    • No clips on this one like the other connector. Only that red tab that I can push slightly up.
    • For any loom connector that has an obvious release that resists pushing far enough to unclip, just spray some silicone lube into it. You might also benefit from using a bent screwdriver or small pick to push in the right place at the right angle.
