S2 R33 Rb25det Into S1 R33?

Hey, i got a 93 r33 gtst and my motor blew its bottom end, I am thinking of buyin a new engine off a series 2 r33, what i want to know is will it be a 100% straight fit? Will my intercooler piping fit? will my aftermarket plenium fit also? will i need a series 2 ecu to make it work? what else would i need to get it fitted?

use the sensors and coil packs etc from your engine..

and it would be direct fit .. only thing that might be different in the exhaust cam gear key...

but if the S2 motor is before sept 97 then you should be fine

what u mean use my old motors coil packs for the s2 motor? I thought s1 coils wouldn't fit on a s2 because of its internal ignitor and s1 motors are external ignitors

so i wouldnt have to get the ecu right? i can still use my s1 ecu?

yes but if you use the electricsa and ECU and everything from the S1 you wont know the difference

there is very little difference between the 2 motors.

the s2 coils will fit in a s1. there isn't any major size difference. if you do go with the series 2 coils then you will have to get rid of the ignitor, and stuff around a bit with the wiring, so it is easier to just use the series 1 coils.
